Beach Snaps 2015

We had such a great trip to the beach! It's hard getting back to reality now, but I'm so glad we were able to go spend some time with family. Here are some quick snaps off my phone from our time!

I love when there is a good storm at the beach. We only got one during our whole trip, but it was so pretty rolling in.

I've found a new favorite and that is non alcoholic margarita. I drank 4 or so of these while sitting on that balcony.

Saturday is changeover day for people renting, so those days are perfectly quiet as everyone is busy checking out and in.

Date night dinner at Bud and Alley's in Seaside. I love that little town, and that jalapeño cornbread!

The scene on the drive home…and they've slept until 8am both mornings we've been back!

I took a bunch of camera pictures that I'll have to show you, too. You know, once I get my house unpacked and back to normal. Such a process! Yesterday, I had my 30 week appointment, my glucose test, grocery stockpiling at Costco and a vomit-in-the-car kid, so I got nothing done!

Fashion || Print to the Maxi: 29 Weeks Pregnant

I think it's quite obvious that I'd like to never leave here! We are having the best time and I'm loving all the hot sunshine and pool/beach time!

Dress: don't see exact, but this one is similar | Bag | Shoes

How Far Along: 29 weeks
Size of baby: 17" and 3lbs
Total Weight Gain: 16 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Yep! Although I realized I only brought one pair of maternity shorts because I'm loving all my elastic waist ones.
Gender: Man child!
Movement: A bunch. Especially after I caved and drank a Mountain Dew Pepsi freeze this week.
Sleep: Good! I just want to sleep a little later, but I seem to still be on "get kids ready for school" time!
What I miss: I would really like to be drinking beer here, but I think I'll deal with the non alcoholic margaritas I've been making.
Cravings: Nothing specific.
Symptoms: I've been out of breath what feels like this whole pregnancy and it's just gotten worse the bigger this little one is. I won't miss that!
What I’m looking forward to: I'm just getting antsy. 10 weeks max at this point and I think 9. With a holiday weekend, 2 Birthday weekends and school starting, I think baby will be here before I know it!

Keeping Organized with Day Designer

I love telling y'all about products that I'm seriously in love with and I just had to jump on the chance to quickly tell you about the new Day Designer. I've been using it since May, so I've had some time to check it out and really put it to the test.
Day Designer Review
Last week, when I was packing up for the beach, my Day Designer was one thing that I knew I couldn't leave behind. I keep a lot in my phone, but I'm the type that needs something right in front of me on a daily basis. I love that this planner has plenty of space to keep everything I need in it. From the monthly overview (with weeks that start on Monday, keeping my weekends all together) to the daily planning pages, I feel more organized than ever. I keep personal appointments and blog related info all in the same place. It really helps me from over committing and keeping family activities a priority.
Day Designer Review
I have a couple specific favorites, including the space on the daily page for "Today's Top Three". This has been super helpful for me to feel more accomplished as well as not overdo it with being pregnant. I can't do everything on my to-do list in a single day right now!
Day Designer Review
Another thing I really love, is a space for a daily gratitude. It's so easy to get bogged down in the crap that comes with a day, that I forget to take time to be grateful. Picking a specific thing to be grateful for each day helps me remember just how blessed I am.
Day Designer Review
Having the Day Designer on this trip has made it easy for me to get stuff done that I need to do and get to relaxing with my family.

And I don't want to miss any relaxing time with this view!

Fashion || Poms and Palms

We're in a bit of a Florida paradise right now. Last week, we were here with my family, then did the changeover to The Hubs family this week. We usually come here later in the summer, so I'm happy to have a little bit cooler temperatures. That is if you consider low 90's cooler!

I got these shorts  from TJ Maxx and saved them just for this trip. I just keep wearing all the elastic waist shorts and skipping maternity ones for the most part. On a side note, if you're loving the pom pom trend, this cover up is adorable and $30! I sure wish I had it here on vacation!

Fashion || All About That Purple: 28 Weeks Pregnant

These are the first pictures this pregnancy where I'm thinking, "whoa…I'm getting big". I've always had a surge of growth with the other boys right around this time, so no surprise that this one is the same!

This comfy, purple dress was another piece I got in the BUMPstyle box last week. It's an easy fitting style that is perfect for summer. It is a little bit clingy, so I ended up wearing a tank underneath it.

How Far Along: 28 weeks
Size of baby: 16" and 2.5lbs
Total Weight Gain: 16 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Yep! Most regular bottoms are getting pretty uncomfortable.
Gender: Man child!
Movement: A bunch. And a bunch all at once.
Sleep: Good! I wish I could sleep outside and listen to the waves crash, but it's way too hot and humid for that!
What I miss: Being able to walk down to the beach without getting out of breath. That's not embarrassing or anything...
Cravings: Jalapeño poppers and grapefruit.
Symptoms: Getting some lower back pain, but this Upsie Belly band is helping quite a bit.
What I’m looking forward to: I'll be nearly 30 weeks by the time we get home, so I'm looking forward to the final prep! I'll have 9 weeks max, but I think it will just be more like 8!

We're going back to Pensacola, FL tomorrow, where I lived for about 12 years of my childhood and are going to see tons of people. It's going to be such a fun blast from the past!

Friday Favorites: Vacation Edition

These are some of my favorite things that will be making the trip to Florida with us this week!

1 : I LOVE this sunscreen. It's for your face and smooths your skin out like a tinted moisturizer. It is on the pricy side, but makes you feel good when you're out on the beach!

2 : Lilly. As a southern girl, that's enough said!

3 : How cute is this clutch? It also comes in a tote bag and a cup koozie. They're on crazy sale right now, too!

4 : There isn't a chance in this world that I would go somewhere without my BumpNest at this point. Good thing I saved the bag it came in, because it's traveling in it!

5 : I've been drinking seltzer a lot since it's gotten hot. My absolute favorite is the La Croix Grapefruit. So delish!

6 : Snagged this dress on a sale and it's super comfy. Perfect for a casual dinner on vacation.

7 : Every beach trip needs some neon! I love this bright bracelet set and it happens to be $14 with free shipping.

8 : I just grabbed the mint green version of this bikini top in my store before we headed to the beach. It has underwire, padding and fits more like a bra top, which is great if you're say, 7 months pregnant

9 : My color for the summer, Peach Side Babe is where it's at!

Do you have any vacation essentials?

Happy Friday, y'all!

Beaching It, Through The Years.

Today we are headed down to Florida! We'll be at the beach with my family for the first part of the trip, then The Hubs family will be joining us for the second part. My boys are looking forward to hanging out with all of their cousins and I can't wait to have a little relaxing time. The boys are pretty independent and don't need tons of stuff to travel with. This will be the last year for awhile that we will have the luxury of not traveling with half of our house!

I've said before, that God's vacation spot would have to be the beautiful beaches along 30-A. Isn't it gorgeous?

I was getting all sentimental looking through pictures from our past beach trips. I don't recommend doing anything but things to make you laugh while you're pregnant, because even then, you may cry a little. Holy emotional I am these days! But anyway, here are some oldies!

We missed some years when we were living in California as well as last year because we did some other fun trips, but I'm excited to be going back to our little spot of paradise.

In other travel news, did anyone do this map that was going around Facebook? I'm pretty much a sucker for all of these survey things and often do them in the middle of the night when this little one is keeping me awake. I don't have too many more states to hit, but I'd like to think I could get to them all someday!

What is your favorite vacation spot? Do you like going to the same place over and over, or mixing it up?
