Keeping Healthy When Your Schedule Isn't.


How is your family getting back into the school routine? I know around here, I love the routine that school brings. There is no lounging in pajamas all day, no "whoops, I forgot lunch" and no question about who is to be where when. Granted, I love summer. I love the lazy days and afternoons by the pool. I just am not that productive. Like at all. 

I also think it's harder to get my kids all the components they need. From exercise, to healthy foods, it's all a little thrown off when we're just going with the flow. I could be having a cup of coffee on the playroom floor and before I barely blink, it's nap time. We didn't get outside, or get dressed. I know when Cooper is in school, he's on the playground, going to gym and eating the healthy lunch I packed at the unreasonable hour of 6am.

In the midst of all the summer travel, we haven't been that awesome about our eating, either. Options are limited and I can't whip up the picnic that is a guaranteed way to get my kids eating veggie sticks. One healthy step we haven't been missing, is taking vitamins.   10. I have a 4 year-old daughter and I keep her healthy by feeding her a well-balanced diet and making sure she gets daily exercise. If we're having an off day and not eating well I make sure she takes a multivitamin.

  15. My 14 month old daughter loves her veggies and fruit! We make sure to eat plenty of lean proteins and drink lots of water too! Although, coffee is a way of life now...;)

  22. i love vita fusion! i take their prenatals, much better than pill version anything!
    we stay healthy with good on the go options like granola bars and things to snack on in the car vs running through a fast food place - also, shakeology! i love the quick 2 minutes it takes for my healthiest meal of the day just to whip it up in the blender. sure beats cooking over the stove for 30+ minutes some days!

  28. I take daily vitamins, try to exercise as much as possible even if it's just taking the dog for a short walk and I prepare/wash fruits and veggies ahead of time so I can grab them for a quick snack on the go.
