Welcome to the third day of the Jingle Bell Rock Blog Hop! Today is all about Christmas Yummies! Having just attended my neighborhood Christmas Cookie Swap, I thought I'd share the cookies I made, as well as the easy peasy wrapping that happened to win me best presentation. Make sure you link up your favorite Christmas Yummy below and don't forget to enter to win the amazing Jingle Bell Rock Blog Hop prizes!

I've made these Sugar Swirl cookies for several holidays, but these are my favorite. I love Christmas and the fun colors. All you need is packaged sugar cookie mix, some food coloring and sprinkles.

I used 4 sugar cookie mixes and it made about 7 dozen cookies. Mix each package according to directions in 4 different bowls. (You could of course make half this amount in 1 swirl color)
Roll each portion of dough, in between 2 pieces of parchment or wax paper, into a large rectangle. Chill all 4 sheets for a couple hours, still in between the paper.

After chilled, lightly brush the colored sheet with water and place the plain sugar sheet on top of it.

Trim the jagged edges with a pizza cutter to make a clean rectangle. Those edges roll up quite nicely for your kiddos to get involved in the baking!

Rolling towards you, gently roll the entire roll longways.

Roll the whole log in sprinkles of your choice, wrap in saran wrap and chill for 2-4 hours.

After they are chilled and firm, slice with a serrated knife into 1/4" slices and bake at 375 for 12 minutes.

Now get to work on your cute wrapping!

I got these cute free printables from Dimple Prints and added my cookie and name.

Basic Wilton favor kits were the base for my packaging. They have a nice cardboard bottom that provides a sturdy base for your cookie tower.

To make it festive, I added in some shredded paper in red, green and white.

Add cookies, alternating colors. (I also made my Granny's Icebox cookies for the swap)
Tie your card and a candy cane on the front of the bag with some cute Christmas ribbon and you're ready to go!
That was fun, right? But even more fun may be winning these amazing prizes! Just enter using the rafflecopter widget below!
