Bridesmaid Duties: Bachelorette Party and Tropical Bridal Shower

The main reason for our New York trip last week was for me to help throw the hub's sister her bachelorette party and bridal shower. She is getting married in August and I may or may not be planning her wedding like its my own. I would do so many things different 6.5 years later!

We started off the weekend at Saratoga Winery. Saratoga is in upstate NY and is famous for its horse racing. I don't have much to complain about with their wine, either.

Saturday, we spent the day on beautiful Lake George.

The bride, me and my other sister-in-law.

Lime-a-ritas are the thang right now, huh?

We had so much fun. Even when our anchor fell into the water and we had to schmooze some guys to go find it for us.

We squeezed everything into 1 weekend since my sister-in-law, Katie (far right) and I had to travel up.
This was Sunday, the day of the shower with my MIL.

We went tropical for the shower theme. I painted plain white starfish from the Michaels dollar spot bright colors to throw around and there were plenty of bright food choices.

The groom's sister, Krissy (next to me) and I created this fruit flower masterpiece. I actually had fun doing it, although, I don't think Edible Arrangements will be offering me a job any time soon.

Favors were flip flop manicure sets.

And what would a post be without this guy?

He was there while we setup making sure I don't lack for funny face pictures.
