Happy 3 weeks!

My new sweet boy is 3 weeks old today! Can't believe how fast the time is already flying by.
This is his favorite "don't steal my passie" pose.

I'm in love with a boy...well, 3 to be exact.

Big brother Cooper just loves snuggling with Callan. And it terrifies me every time! Gentle, gentle, Cooper is often heard around here. Hehe.

And we're still not lacking in the crazy face department.

But y'all, seriously, 2 kids is no joke. I'm just trying to adjust to our new norm while keeping my head above water. And I'm doing a pretty crappy job. Sitting on the couch making your 3 year old watch movies all day isn't parenting at its finest, but hey, they're both alive. And fed. So even though neither has had a bath in a week, I'll call it a success.

  1. You are SO right. 2 kids is.no.joke. My little girl was born in August & her brother is 3. I seriously felt like I was drowning for a good 4 weeks. Sometimes still, I don't even know how I get through the day! I'm back at work full-time now, so I have to shove all those things that need done around the house into 4 hour window at night PLUS spread my attention & love to them both! Crazy!!

Cooper & Callan are doll faces! :)

  2. Congrats on you new little one! It always amazed me how little my kids seemed to be until I had another one & then it seems like the older ones grew up overnight.
I always took my mothers advice and slept when they slept and they the rest will take care of itself. Cooper's naps with be like a godsend to you! You'll get the hang of it :)

  3. I think Mr. Callan looks like you! He has your eyes. Not the color of course (but maybe they will be yet!) but the shape and "feel" and everything else about them makes me think of you.

  4. Did you get a new blog design?!? LOVES IT! Also, I have been where you are and as long as they are fed and semi-clean, that's all you can ask! I remember what it's like and I am here for you if you need anything!

  7. First, love your new layout!!! Too cute.

Second, the photos are sooo cute!

Third, hang in there mama! Baths are overrated. :) I know exactly how you feel, sometimes I don't exactly feel like mother of the year but you will adjust and will get into a new routine in no time. Thinking of you!

  12. Adorable!!! And ya know what?! There are some days my 4 yr old gets to watch movies all day too...so don't feel bad. It happens, and sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. I would say it gets easier, but after 5 months I still haven't gotten into a good groove :(

  15. Those early weeks when the #2 is born are brutal. When my second was born, my MIL stayed with us for two months so I had a lot of help, but STILL it was hard so you should be very proud of yourself, you are doing a great job! It DOES get easier :)
