Even a 2 year old needs fashion options.

I am seriously loving getting ready for Halloween this year.

Last year, Cooper was a bit freaked to go door to door with his little friend.

{He had yet to realize that strangers aren't scary enough to miss out on candy}

This year, he's got "trick-or-treat, give me some candy" down pat.

I couldn't choose when I was searching for outfits last year and bought 3. He's going to choose 1 for the "trunk-or-treat" at our church, then 1 for going around the neighborhood on Halloween.

Option #1 - Lion

{I think Coop is partial to this one}

Option #3 - Monkey

{His room is a monkey theme and he's always loved them}

I'm going to let him choose, but I have my favorites! Hehe.

Now, what do we do about kids coming to our house when we walk around the neighborhood? We both want to go, so I think we'll leave a tray on the porch. Is that lame?

I am leaving the house tomorrow for the first time this week to go CAR SHOPPING! I so can't go without a car anymore. Sheesh. Hope you have a fab weekend!

Chocolate Dipped Candy Corn Rice Krispie Treats

Last week, Michelle over at A Little Tipsy made the most adorable fall treat.

I decided I had to make them with Cooper!

{Won't take off the Buzz Lightyear PJ's}

Melt 3 Tbsp butter, then add 1 package of marshmallows and melt completely.

stir in

8 drops of yellow food coloring and 2 drops of red food coloring

stir in

6 cups of Rice Krispies
Press into round cake pan
{I used 2}

Cut into triangles, then round edges into the shape of candy corn

Melt 1/2 cup of white chocolate with 1/2 tsp crisco

{I used the melt chocolate option on my microwave}

Spoon onto the small end of your "candy corn"

Repeat with chocolate and spoon onto large end

Allow chocolate to harden in the refrigerator...then EAT!

Keeping baby wipes close by for post consumption.

Wordful Wednesday - Pumpkin overload

Last weekend we headed to the Pumpkin Festival in Circleville, Ohio. It was a blast!

Closet digging fashion

I was inspired after the Mom's Fashion File twitter party to pull out the tunics. (And ya know, you should totally go follow them and get on board with some fab mommy style) There was so much talk of skinnies with flowing tunics and boots that I couldn't stop myself from a little closet plunge.

I found this tunic that my Mom bought me probably 3 years ago and fell in love all over again.

Who needs a lot of pumpkin in their life?

I love fall and I love pumpkin. Hellooooo, pumpkin spice latte.

That's why somewhere that has 1,600 lb pumpkins, a 400 lb pumpkin pie, pumpkin donuts, pumpkin burgers, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin soups, pumpkin waffles, pumpkin fudge, pumpkin milkshakes...ok, ya got it...it's right up my alley.

Today we are taking a road trip and heading to the little city of Circleville, Ohio for their annual pumpkin festival. I am so excited! My entire family is meeting there and we are meeting up with my sisters hubs whole family. Yeehaw!
Apparently, we really like food festivals. Last year it was the Gilroy Garlic Festival in California. Which was a blast, although, the foods weren't as appealing as PUMPKIN!

I've been once before but the hubs has never been. If any of you know southern Ohio, you know its southern. Like its a displaced southern state. My brother-in-law has more of an accent than I do! Not sure how they feel about gun racks, or deer hunting, but in my mind, its a little like home.

I'm hoping I can sneak in a little shopping time with my sistas, too! How am I supposed to have fashion post when I haven't been shopping in a month?!?! This, my friends is MAJOR. I am craving a serious shopping trip.

Well, we've done it again. Gone and sold a car without a backup and now I'm stranded.

I need to shop. I'd be almost happy with just a drive with the windows open.

My house is spotless.

I haven't even showered today, because I know I'm not going anywhere.

And I know I never want to be under house arrest. EVER.

Today was a fairytale.

Some days being a stay at home mom is hard. Like no one ever told me how exhausted I would be every. single. night.

But some days, are like today.
Your child decides to wake up saying "I love you, mommy".

People comment everywhere you go on how well behaved he is.

He smiles and waves and holds your hand without fighting when you cross the street.

We spent the morning running errands in the rain with our galoshes.

We spent the afternoon watching a movie and snuggling while eating popcorn.

Then we made pumpkin cookies and ate icing right out of the tub.

I think God gives days like this to make me remember how incredibly blessed I am. To make me slow down and take more time to enjoy my days with my little man.

Don't wanna be all by myself.

Coop and I have been all alone this week while hubs has been on a business trip to Chicago.

I couldn't tell you people of the Internet because I was sure some creeper was going to get me in my sleep.

This was the first time we've stayed alone here in the new house. One things for sure, being alone in a 3rd floor apartment is way less scary than a house with 3 floors and lots of windows. I checked the closets, showers and locks more times than I can count. Thank God hubs travel is way less than it was in California, or else, I would have to get a room mate. Seriously.

I freaked out when we we're in Target and Cooper kept announcing that daddy was in Chicago. I watched in the rear view mirror the whole way home to make sure no one was following me. Paranoid, much? Poor Coop asked no less than 504 times if we could go to Chicago, too. I guess that will be a trip in the making!

In other news, my Internet won't work. We have the little broadband cricket jobber and for some reason today, it quit working. I may blog online, but that's about all I know how to do. Fixing will have to wait for the hubs. I'm just using our new iPad right now, which is awesome, but I haven't figured out how to upload pics yet. See, I have no clue about these things.

This afternoon, we're going to pick hubs up and head home to a Friday night of wine and Chinese takeout. I'm so excited!

You know when you're shopping and you see something that just completes you? You feel like its "the one" and you know your heart will stop if you don't take it home and have your way with it?

I sure hope I'm not the only one who has these feelings towards clothes.

It was way more than I wanted to spend but then I saw it was on sale and I HAD to buy it. When I was about to check out I was still feeling a bit guilty. Then a girl in front of me asked if I wanted to use her extra coupon.

I practically frenched her and any guilt I had just eased away.

Yesterday, I tweeted,

"I just got the best sweater/cardi in all creation from Banana Republic. I plan on living the entire winter in it."

Thats exactly what my plans are for this new soul mate of mine.
