While I've been busy driving cross country, eating junk food, and having some intense sing off's with the hubs, Joanna of Southern Girl Blog Designs, has been busy making over my little bloggy.

We've made it to Albuquerque, NM so far, and we are actually having FUN in the car.

We finally stopped at Target and replaced my MIA razor, so as of last night, the sleeping part has gotten much easier on the hubs.

3 more days and we'll be in Virginia. You know I'll have lots of pictures to share as soon as we get there.

Things like:

Our 11,000 lbs of goods in the truck,

{so embarassing that I have so much crap!}
Passing my car on the car hauler as we drove down the highway,

Dippin Dots falling from the sky in Arizona,

And babies stripping in the backseat.

Last Californian Fashion Friday

This is my last Fashion Friday from California! It's really setting in now since my house is empty and our drive starts tomorrow.

The mother of all road trips.

Call me crazy, call me adventurous. But Saturday morning, we embark on this:

San Ramon, CA - Grand Canyon, AZ - Washington, DC
5 days - 3,051 miles

I've already planned out all our stops and hotels. We will be driving 9-10 hours a day and stopping in Kingman, AZ, Albuquerque, NM, Oklahoma City, OK, and Nashville, TN.

And if that isn't crazy enough, the car has to be filled with everything I need for the next 2-3 months. All our stuff will be stored in Michigan until we move into a house, so theres no way I'm getting to it. I already warned the hubs that there will be TONS of shopping in this girls future. I'm not wearing the same 7 outfits for 3 months!

The next few days are going to be sheer madness. This is all happening so fast, that I can't really wrap my head around it. I know it will all be worth it when we get moved and settled, but leaving my friends here feels like I am leaving a little piece of me behind. You know who you are, and I miss you already!

If anyone has suggestions of fun things to do along I-40, let me know!

Some things I've learned.

My brain is simply bursting with new information. So much that I figured I should share some with you.

1. Washington DC metro is completely incapable of handling this much snow.

2. Convincing your realtor to take you house hunting in the snow is hard.

3. Foreclosed homes do not have shoveled walkways.

4. These high heel, OTK boots are perfectly capably of being snow boots.

{The heels dig in to the snow well, and I only fell once}

5. Jet Blue will cancel your flight home at the simple thought of snow, and get you on another flight, oh,

3 DAYS LATER.

6. No matter how beautiful the snow is, it looses it's beauty real fast when you are stuck inside with a toddler and no toys.

News. BIG news.

First off, thank you all so much for your kind words and prayers over the past weekend. You don't know how much it really meant to me. My Grandfather's funeral was a beautiful tribute to his life, and it has been really great to spend time with my family.

Ready for the big news?

Just a couple hours after I wrote the post about my Grandpa, the hubs called to tell me that his company is transferring us.

We're moving to VIRGINIA!

It couldn't be more perfect. We'll be driving distance to both families, and live very close to the hubs sister.

The catch?

We're moving in less than 2 weeks. Ummm, crazy!! Coop and I are going to leave Georgia and go straight to meet the hubs in Virginia to house hunt. Then it's back home to pack up and head out on our second cross country road trip!

I can't believe it was less than 2 months ago that we moved into our current house, then I wrote this post about wanting to be close to my family so badly, and now this is all happening.

Guess God wanted to help me check things off of my 101 in 1001 list. Things like:

026. Move back East

056. Take a road trip

and

060. Cross 4 more states off my "I've been to" list.

Which all leads to things like:

025. Baby #2

{I've got the fever BAD}

Needless to say, I'll be MIA for a bit longer. Trying to keep in touch with twitter. I will need your house hunting tips!
