Stilettos and Diapers: Yes. I will willing walk into that knife.

Yes. I will willing walk into that knife.

I told the hubs awhile ago that I would quit shopping for 4 years if I could get my bubbies done. My mom said forget it. No way could I go 4 years without bringing something home. As it is already, I sneak things into the house. I love to buy stuff from Target, because "that's just the grocery bill. We have to eat and Coop has to have diapers." Seriously, dude. Stop cramping my shopping style with this crap you call a budget.
My sis agreed with my mom, as did several of my friends. I can't do it. Just. Can't. I can't generally go a week, much less 4 freakin years. That said, I still NEED new bubbies. Gotta get these girls up and outta their low lying funk! The hubs understands, and is on my side. WORD. I often say that, just FYI. Usually followed by 'to yo momma'. That's just how I roll. Not sure why this is such a big deal to me. You throw on a push up bra and move on, right? Ehhh. Pregnancy really did treat me well. That's the only thing really changed, and I just want to change 'um back to normal. Is that really too much to ask?

Now for the honesty. Should I do it? Has anyone else done it and been happy/not so happy with the results? What if by some chance, eek, I want another baby? Has anyone done it before kids? Will I end up looking like Tara Reid?
If haven't gotten your fill of fake bubbies, don't forget tonight is the premier of Real Housewives of the OC! I don't know about you, but there is gonna be an all out girly, wine, cheese, chocolate party up in here!

  1. I told my husband the same thing - after I'm done with kids, I want a boob lift. Mine are big enough as it is - I just want them lifted. So they look nice, ya know? 10 years of birth control gave me 34DD's... God only knows what pregnancy will do. That being said, I am scared $hitless and will most likely throw on a push-up bra and call it a day. But I reeeeeally want them.

  3. I want to get mine done, I have for the last 4 years. I lost 80 lbs in college and it created some lowering and stretch marks and ever since I have wanted them done. We are planning on kids next year so after that I am 100% getting them.

I think just do your research, find a great doctor (read his reviews), and everything will be just fine.

    Good luck!!

  4. Some mommy's just need to fix em back to where they were pre-baby! My mom had them done between my sis and I and they stayed perky and fab and no trouble nursing! Go get a consult..They are free(if you have insurance) and see what the doc says. But look for that doc carefully!!!! Get it girl, but dont give up shopping for 4 years, that is just craziness!!

  5. I WILL have mine done when we are finished having kiddos. They are disgusting and look like tube socks. I will have to have mine lifted, and I couldn't nurse well if I have anymore kids. BUT, I want to say I am done having kids, but John says differently. So.. I am at a crossroads. but I say do it, but research the doc.

  6. I've always thought of it as reconstructive surgery....

    =)

And I keep debating it as well. I'm afraid of something going wrong, hating them, losing feeling...and then having to get them REDONE in 10 years....

So, you do it first and let me know.

But, definitely make sure you're done having babies!!!

  7. Oh hahahahahaha you are just too funny! That cartoon cracked me up! I'd say probably wait until after you're finished having kids cuz you don't want 'em to drop back down again and have to have a redo right? I'm all for a little nip and tuck after kids!!! :)

  8. Molly, you are hilarious!!! Do what YOU want to do. It's your body and if you feel that having that procedure done will make you feel better about yourself, then go for it! A woman needs to feel sexy. You look great though and you don't look as though you've even had a baby! You're gorgeous!!!

  9. I would definitely do it! As far as waiting until after you're done having your babies, you might want to. I am already planning on having mine done. I just hate the way mine look right now and I'm really scared to see how they'll look after I have the baby and 6 months of breast feeding, ahhh!

  10. Oh I know exactly how you feel lady! I feel the same way! After breastfeeding my first my boobs were never the same and here I go again breastfeeding baby numero dos. Yikes I'm afraid of what will be left when I stop!

If my hubs student loans weren't killing us already at $1000 a month I would totally do it.

PS-I can't wait for the premier either! I shamelessly love my reality TV!

  11. As soon as I am done nursing this baby, I am getting mine done, and I can't wait! :)
    Good luck!

  12. I am with ya girl! Already told the hubs after we are done with kids (which may be after this one :-), I want my boobies to move back up to where they use to be. Not to toot my own horn, but I had a pretty nice natural set before pregnancy. Now they are just all National Geographic and sh*t. Ha! Now, my only advice to you is that if you do want to have more kids, I would wait until you are done. My friend got hers done after her first kid and they looked fabulous. But then when she got pregnant again, they grew even bigger (obviously) and she got stretch marks from it. Boo! But if you are not even sure you want to go down that road, just do it now and worry later :-)

  13. Totally get those bubbies puckered up! However, I would limit that 4yrs to say ... 6 months :)

  14. lets just say that i have this 'friend' that got her bubbies done before she had her baby....because she just couldnt wait until she was done having babies...because at the time my 'friend' didnt event know if she would have babies...so I (oop...I mean she) didnt want to waste away her bikini-filled youth with a flat chest....
anywho...long story short....one baby later, they are still FAB and totally worth it! you shoud DO IT!!! :)

  15. Yo should totally wait until you're done having kids. Trust me. I have a friend whose boobs got so engorged when then the milk came because of the implants that she popped one!!! And NEEDED SURGERY! Not fun with a newborn at home to go have to fix a popped boob.
Although if you are done, I say GO FOR IT! Life is too short to be unhappy with your body.

  16. I never really got the whole concept of the boob job after babies thing - that is, until I was finally done breastfeeding, and then I think I cried. After I picked my boobs up off the floor. Seriously. I don't think I could ever afford it, but I totally give props to any woman who does now. I'd love to have the boobs back!

  17. After 2 kiddos, and ballooning out to size F's when my milk came in (no.joke.), I shriveled. So not hot for a twenty-something to have to live with for the rest of her days. I had mine done, and would gladly do it again!! I highly recommend getting bubbies ... they were an awesome investment!! You would definitely not regret it!! :o) Let me know if you have any questions ... I am not shy!! :o)

  18. I think it depends on your body and your skin and whether or not you would breastfeed if you had another baby... And if you want another baby...

If you DO want another baby, I would really wait until after you are done. It *might* go back to the way they look before the baby, but they might not, and that is a lot of money and time to waste. I had mine done after my first and I will have to have them done again. They got so huge with my second pregnancy that they are awful! My skin just didn't bounce back like I would have liked. At. ALL.

If you are sure you are done having babies, go for it! I wish I would have had a lift and augmentation, and not just an augmentation though. I want them to be in the right spot, and the augmentation on its own did NOT put them in the right spot. Good luck!

P.S. I can't believe that I am discussing my boob job on the internet.

  19. My SIL got hers done before she had my niece. Now, in my opinion hers are a bit big for her body being as she's a zero. But I mean, they went back to the normal(pre baby/post implant)size after the baby. I'd get mine done if they, let's say, upset me(haha)after I have kids! Gotta be happy with yourself, lady! ((BUT I couldn't even stop shopping for 4 months... much less 4 YEARS!!))

    ReplyDelete
  20. I would do some research for myself if mine go south after I have children. But I'm pretty sure I would wait until I was sure I was done having kids. But I would say go for it, if you want! But not shopping for 4 years? I couldn't do it!

  21. I said Id be interested after Im done having kids. My suggestion would be to wait until youre 100% sure youre done. The last thing you want is to fall in love with your new ones and get pregnant again and have it all go out the window!

  22. My sister did hers...twice. I was the nurse for recovery from the first and had the "priviledge" of washing the permanent marker off. The first time was before kids and the second time was after the third kid. Big difference. She did the tummy tuck thing after baby #3 too. And she feels so much more confident. There were a few issues with the tummy tuck not healing correctly but that may have had more to do with having to lift kids then the surjury itself. She is a big baby, so I don't think anyone's would be quite like hers. If you want it, and the hubs is for it, then I say go for it. You have to like the way you look. No one else can give you that.

  23. i think if you really, really want them and you're done having babes go for it! ;) that is if you guys can afford it as well.
i want 4 kids...i'm 26 so by the time i'm done having kids i think i'll want new bubbies as well! ;) if we can afford them i'm getting them done for sure!! hehe!!

  25. My mom, my MIL and my SIL have theirs done. My mom and MIL look great. SIL a lot to big... just do it tastefully. When I am done with kids I want mine done and the hubby is all for it. Plus having kids helps stretch out the skin!

  26. Ok, so I know that a lot of people are pro-bubbies on the commenting, and I don't want to be cursed forever, but I'm not certain about the bubbies. *Important note: I do not have any children so I have not been through the bubbie-sag yet* However... I'm not certain that I would put my body through the surgery. Maybe my whole opinion will change eventually, but I'd like to think that I would rather just age gracefully, the way that nature intended...without silicone... without botox...

    But only time will tell.

  27. What a great post! If I weren't so paranoid about surgery I would totally have my boobs lifted--running and motherhood have taken their toll. I just invest in good bras. But I did recently interview a cosmetic surgeon for Momtrends. You can check it out here:

  28. I'm in the same boat as you... I miss my old perky boobs! They were so dang perfect and I took them for granted... definitely getting mine done some time in the near-ish future.

What recession? hahaha, these are PRIORITIES, people!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I had mine done 2 years before having my daughter. Needed them both to be the same size, if ya know what I mean. I breasfed Tay for 9mos. They are not as "perfect" as they were before pregnancy, but nowhere near as bad as they would have been had I not gotten them done!
    I say "GO FOR IT!"

    ReplyDelete
  30. I say "Just "SWOOSH" DO IT!" I plan on it after I'm done losing weigh. I want these puppies purty and perky for the rest of my life!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I have no kids, but I do have fakies. Why? Well, because I was about a size 0 if you talk about boobies. No regrets! I love my girl!
I'm a tiny little scared about how they will look like when I get kids in the future. But even when they turn out a little less pretty, I need to change the implants after a year or ten (I have them now a year).
Best thing I did with my money :D
